About MovePeeps
MovePeeps is a step challenge app for small groups of two to eight people who already know each other. Each game runs Monday to Sunday, and the group plays for the most steps, the most consistent days, or the best balance.
What MovePeeps is
You start a private group, invite your people with a link or code, and walk your normal week. With your permission, the app reads each member's daily step total, so nobody has to collect numbers in the group chat. On Sunday the week is done, and on Monday a new one starts.
There are three ways to score a game. Most steps: the highest total wins. Most consistent: whoever walks on the most days wins. Best balance: the highest daily average wins, with a cap of 5,000 steps a day, so one long walk does not decide the week. A game can also run for more than one week.
Who it is for
Friends and family come first: a few people who want a light reason to walk more together, nearby or in different places. A small group of colleagues can use it too, as long as joining is voluntary.
It is not a company wellness platform or a public fitness network. If you need more than eight people, custom dates or manual scoring, a shared spreadsheet will suit you better.
What the app reads
Only the daily step total. MovePeeps gets it from Apple HealthKit on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, after you give permission. Steps from your phone and from a watch both count, as long as they are saved there.
Only the members of your group see the totals. Strangers cannot find your group, and there are no public profiles. The app does not ask for your routes, GPS, live location or contacts. The privacy policy has the details.
Launch plan
MovePeeps is planned for iPhone and Android on 1 December 2026. At launch, MovePeeps is free and shows no ads. A small beta is planned before then.
